I hear you on misplacing stuff, I moved in the middle of my build and have spent hours looking for stuff I knew I had.

I had a really fun conversation with a friend of my son's father. He is a car guy, but more of the type who likes cars, appreciated them, but I guess is not very mechanical. But as the conversation went and I was pointing out all the little or big things that I changed on the car, it was really fun to see his expression. "I always wanted a manual transmission in here, so I changed it to a 6 speed" ... his mind was blown. Point after point of all the things that were done to it, and how far it has come. Really made me appreciate the journey. Yes it still has a ways to go, but it has come so far already. It was another one of those high moments in the long and hard restoration process.

Ordered up some seat belts and carpet. Keep adding to my parts pile. I thought I was on the decreasing mode....guess not yet.
What did you do for carpet? I've been researching and haven't found anything but custom to accommodate the raised tunnel.

What belts did you order? I have Morris 3 point and am very happy with them.

I'm still receiving parts ordered before xmas. but, my pile is pretty small at this point. Just bought an amp tonight.

I ordered up the ACC in a graphite color. I am crossing my fingers that it will fit with my tunnel. I am sure I have wasted a lot more money on different parts that didn't fit, so for 175 dollars I figured it was worth ordering. Mainly went with this one on the advice and knowledge from Hotwire.

For the belts, I don't have shoulder harnesses on the 65s, so I just went with some cheap Jeg's lap belts that will cut me in half if I ever do get in a wreck.

Those are going to look great, are they factory style?

I got the A/C charged in mine before last weekends drive, sure was nice.

Those are factory style ones. David Bates sent over a couple of templates that were from an original car, so was able to trace them out and cut them...then I needed to fine tune it. Not from the templates fault but my own shaky cuts. I definitely think they will look better then the vintage air bar that comes with the kit for mounting on the bottom of the dash.

Hi Dan , I don’t think you’re ever done with the parts list 😆 car is looking really good, keep up the good work 👍. I’m just starting on a 66.
I hear ya. I had to pick up some touch up paint this week as the new doors need some love to get the lock cylinders to fit. I thought it was just the paint that built up around the opening, but both new and old fit perfect in the original doors, but either fit in the new door, so I guess the repop aren't quite right. I wish I would have test fit those prior to paint...oh well, behind the lock cylinder will probably never see the light of day ever again.

Good luck with the 66.

Repops not being quite right is a understatement, i have two of them. You might say they are close. Looking good Dan
At first I questioned the lock cylinders, thinking they might not be the correct ones. But then once I test fit them on the original doors, I knew it was the repop issue. Nothing like filing/sanding off fresh paint :(
