Hello,

I have a 1965 Chevelle Malibu SS 13837. It has the original 327 motor and powerglide trans.

It has a Canadian body # 513837059XXX

I am looking for more information on the Canadian made '65 Chevelle Malibu SS. Were they only made in Oshawa Ont? How many were made in '65? Was there any differences between the canadian made ones vs. the american made versions?

Recently i found some decent '66 Nova SS hubcaps at a yard sale and with the help of this site i picked them up.

Nice car! I'm through the first season of "Rust Valley Restorers". They called the Chevelle a different name cause it's in Canada. Don't recall the name of the car.
A Chevelle is a Chevelle whether Built in Canada or in the US

What you are thinking about is the Beaumont which was a Pontiac equivalent to the Chevelle
same Body panels / Engines / Frame etc.
just a Different Front Grill / Rear Tail Lights / Dash / Emblems / Seat Covers

Any recommendations for what wheels and tyres to put on the malibu? I plan on using the original 14" hubcaps.
I'd like to keep it as stock looking as possible, but not spend crazy amounts on a vintage tire.

If you want to stick with 14 inch wheels your tire choices are very limited. If you don't want vintage reproduction tires about the only choices left are Riken, Cooper, Hankook, Uniroyal, General, Falken and BF Goodrich. But the sizes available are also quite limited.
