I am looking for a used 65 Chevelle SS Convertible frame that won't break the bank for a restoration. Does anyone have a list of acceptable years/make/model that I can use and references to places that I may search for one? Thanks in advance for any assistance that you can offer!

Not a complete list, but El Camino's have a boxed frame also, you'll have to cut approximatley 3 1/4 inches off the rear of the frame past the boxed part where the frame is just a U shape. To get a proper measurement, measure from the rear of the last crossmember to the rear of the rotted frame!! 64-65-66 elky frames work with the previous modification, unless you can find a convertible frame.

Thank you for your reply, that's helpful. Do you know if the body bushing positions would line up between the El Camino frames and the Chevelle? Also, we're still looking for a solid, straight frame that we can use. We can blast and paint, it just needs to be solid. If you or anyone you know may have one, or if you have a clue where to search for one, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
