It turned out pretty good for a garage paint job. It needs to be color sanded and buffed but I am very happy with the body work and color. It looks a little different than the pic shows. I know it will look alot better with some chrome and fenders back on.

I left the doors on and completely sealed the inside of the car. The doors were left open and the jams were done at the same time.
I've got to try that trick next time. Had to do some touchups on my Firebird after jambing the car first, then trying to tape it off to paint exterior. It looks good now, but too much work. I guess if I had more room to work, open the doors fully it'd help a lot too.

Car looks real good. Nice job!

You don't mention clearcoat. Maybe I missed it, but are you doing base and clear, or using another paint system?

I'm working on a '65 Impala. It just went back on the frame yesterday. The body is still in primer, although one day it hopefully will be back to its original black color again.

It looks like '65 Danube Blue. Is it?

In my home town in the late 70s / early 80s there were 3 different '65 Big Chevies in that colour, all Bel Airs. All were original paint and 2 of them were low mile cars, one even had the original Holland Chev-Olds dealer sticker in perfect shape on it. I believe the mileage was 28,000 on that one.

I have an old picture somewhere of a '65 Biscayne 396/425 with slicks, twisting off the line and lifting 1 front tire high

I think it is close to the blue you mentioned. I remember when I was a kid that the neighbor had a dark blue one and we had a maroon one. It's been 35 years but I remember the blue ones looked nice.
