Ok I really could use some help with this one. I would like to go with a larger rim and tire on this beautiful 64 as it will be getting fitted with disc brakes all the way around. Thinking 15" to no larger than 17's. Which rim do you like? & What size would you suggest? Any and all input appreciated as this is a tough one.

Fred fred, which do you like? That 64 looks very clean with a subtle amount of chrome, so numero uno is the clear winner.

Andy, Great ? I do like #1, but also wonder what it would look like with the black cragars on it? But then again what's on it looks good, just wish they were at least 15's.

I love 64's, and that is one of the best looking. The rims on there look great, but if you have to change, I would go with a chrome 15 inch crager which is a nice off set of the black. Again, nice car.

What brand & size of disc brakes? That will determine the rim dia.

I would go with chrome wheels 17x8 5.0" backspace with 245/45/17 tires.

Thats great advice Russ. I think your right, my ultimate goal is disc brakes so I should start there at least with the information, get the wheels and tires then pull the trigger on the disc setup.

New question. Suggestion on disc setup that is quality without breaking the bank?

Heres my 64 with weld wheels pro star.

Just bought a set of rally wheels that Im going to pick up on sunday to shift with since I really like the look of the rally wheels the set I bought has the "disc brakes" caps wich I prefer over the "vette" style.

mine is a 65 but close enough. these look great in my opinion. 15x7 Cragar Eliminator 500. Cast aluminum polished.

I don't think any of those three would look bad, but for me , if I had to choose from those three, I would pick the Cragars, they are closer to an old school look than the others (which I like). JMHO Have you gone to one of the sponsor's here call Newstalgia Wheel? They have software called a wheel visualizer. I believe they sell all three of these or something vey close to them all, and you can put them on your year make/mdl/color car to see how they look.
