I removed the vent ball assembly when I took apart the heater box and install new firewall insulation. When I re-assembled the bezel, ball and housing, the ball is kind of sloppy and rattles around a bit. Is there some sort of soft trim/insulation that goes on the bezel to keep the ball secure? There is a flat section that appears to have had something glued to it. Any help out there?

Originally they had a thick felt material glued in that kept the ball tight and from rattling... not sure how thick, you might have to experiment
