I took the white back off because it just looked weird IMO.

Created this years ago. Based on a 1987 era GM truck spoiler. Welded a few mounts and creativity to follow the shape of the bumper.

I don't see any benefit to this as these cars are about as aerodynamic as a brick. If there were any, I would have thought that they would have been incorporated on stock racing cars back in the day.

They were. But probably outlawed or you’d have seen more.
Anytime you can keep air out from under the front of the car it helps with aero (minimally on Chevelles) but more importantly cooling.
