OK, I'm the guinea pig. I bought the re-pop four piece set. It looks absolutely gougeous out of the box. Mine are pitted, bumpy and have sand scratches from a DA.

Any advice for changing them out? I know I have to remove the headliner...and I'm not excited about that because mine has been re-done and looks perfect.

Any tips?

I already have them installed on my 65, they fit ok. I had to do a little filing where they slide into the stainless bed top mouldings and also used a belt sander on the stainless to make the ends not exactly 90Deg to make the seam where thay go together look even. All pretty easy to do.Also I shimmed with washers under the tabs at the bottom of the lower mouldings as it was about 1/8" gap and I was afraid I would crack the tabs if I just tightened them down. All and all I'm pleased with them as far as aftermarket stuff goes.

PS the repop taillight assemblys look and fit good also.

Didn't know???

I just painted my 65 3 weeks ago. The paint job turned out so well I couldn't put the old chrome back on so I ordered all the repop stuff. So far the hood spear , the tail lights and cab chrome are great! Too bad somebody can't come up with better rear bed corner chrome.

Thanks,
Stan

One thing to be very careful with is those studs that come through the body holes into the car area. Seal them up as best you can so rain will not seep in. Since the pot-metal pieces on the sides of the rear window do not seal directly against the body, rain will find its way in those stud holes.
