Just wondering if there are any particular speakers to use for mounting in the dash and the one hole in rear shelf.
Really don't want to hack up car.
Use one large speaker or two small ones per hole?
Any special wiring if using an aftermarket radio intended for four speakers?
Thanks.

I think the factory speakers were 6x9" so any new style 6X9" speakers should fit. As far as wiring, new stereos will probably have wiring for front left & right speakers and rear left & right. If you only want to run one front & rear speaker, you should be able to join both left and right + wires to the one + terminal on the speaker and do the same for the - wires. The only thing is that the stereo's internal amplifier will see a lower speaker impedance since it is wired to one speaker instead of two. I would recommend asking the stereo manufacturer tech rep how that set up will affect the operation. The rep will need to know the impedance of the speakers you will be using. My gut tells me that it should not be a big deal.
