Hello everyone,

Recently just bought a 1964 Chevelle. I want to replace the fenders and have found a set that come ready for install. My only question is they are labeled on the website "1965 Chevelle Fender. Would this be interchangeable to the 64 Chevelle?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think they are different. The front of the fender around the headlights are different.

The front fenders are different. The 1964 are kind of flat while the 1965s have a pointy front end. The rear fenders I think are the same. Take a look at some stock photos of the cars and you will see what I mean.

You could swap an entire front clip/doghouse between 64s and 65s but as mentioned above the front half is different. Personally, I prefer the 64 but the 65 is great looking as well!

BTW, steel quarters are finally available for 64-65 El Caminos and now a new fiberglass one piece for 64s (65 has been available for a long time now so you see a few 64 drag cars with 65 front ends) for race or nostalgia builds. About time the first gens get some love.
