Pretty cool project!
From the description, it started life as a two door wagon, and someone welded panels where the rear windows go. What a shame....Was that home made or was it done by a dealer? I would love to have a camper shell on my elcamino like that top.
It looks like its in pretty good shape, maybe a good fabricator can undo all that and bring her back. From the description, it started life as a two door wagon, and someone welded panels where the rear windows go. What a shame....
The way the subject Sedan Delivery conversion was don is more true to the way the factory would have done it. Look at the mid 50s and up. The last Sedan Delivery models were produced in '60 and dropped. Here is a similar one that someone saw through to the end. Pics are from it being displayed at Summit Racing in Ohio. This one is a 65 ElCo.
Ok, Ok ..... I didn't think I'd see those words on this forum, (maybe on the Vintage Mustang forum I'm also a part of).turns it into a dumb El Camino
There are a half dozen or more classic vehicles there.I wonder what's up with the 68 or 69 Chevelle peaking out way back in the corner?
