not much if anyt more than any other 327 really. if you had the entire thing, complete from carb to pan, it's a different story. but the shortblock is generic, same casting # as the impala or whatever.
100% correct; its only worth something to the car it use to belong to so the car would be numbers matching.

Actually since the Vette community seems to have bought into the numbers match if it is within the time frame for build and decked/restamped, it may be worth a chunk of change to the "correct" vette owner. :wacko: Best bet would to mosey on over to the Corvette Forum and ask there. As you can see most Chevelle owners won't add the extra Corvette value to it. From what I see around me a ready to assemble SBC short block is $250-400 depending on components available for assembly. HTH

my '63 is stamped with the suffix code "RD" for 300HP/ 4 speed. i think other variants are stamped 'R'- something as well. but it's really a moot point, unless you find the owner of the matching car, it's just any old 327. if folks are going to restamp they don't need a corvette engine, just any correctly date coded 327.
