how do I tell if my 502 is a one piece or a two piece rear seal with out taking it apart ? it makes a difference as to what flywheel I need to get. thank you Mike.

Do you have the casting #'s off of the block?

If its a 502 it should have a 1 piece seal.

This is from Mortec.com:

10237300...502.......96-up...4-bolt, Gen.VI, 4.466" bore

So yes, its a one piece seal. GM has a flywheel for this motor.
