I have a 454 truck long block with 781 heads on it. I'd like to keep the heads and sale the block, but would sell both if needed. The pulley's, brackets, fan, altenator, valve covers are gone. I bought it the way it is. I put two bolts in the balancer and turned it over with one hand. Not sure if the block is a two or four bolt. Any ideas what they are worth together and seperate? Thanks

Complete its probably worth around the 500 range for a good core. The heads alone are probably 100-200ish. The block maybe around the same.

Look at the side of the block right above the oil filter. If there are two 3/4 holes with pipe plugs it should be a 4-bolt block. A 454 short block that needs rebuilding is worth $300 or so. Add another $200 or so for the rebuildable heads. If it is a 4 bolt block you can add another $300 or so.
