Finally got my 454 ls7 all back together its a stock ls7 12.5 solid lifter xch code.Was wondering what intake do you think is the best choice want to keep it old school I have a gm163 that came with the motor also have two edelbrocks a c427x and a sideways scorpion.Going with a 850 holley vac sec.Car is a 71, turbo 400 3000 stall with 410 gears

Not the scorpion, but either of the dual planes, preferably with about .750" open a the top ( 1/2-1" spacer - and I can't remember if the C427X has this cast in it already.) This seems to work very well on many engines.

i've got a GM intake that google tells me was used on factory LS7 crate motors just taking up space. i forget the casting number right off hand.. it was cast in the early 80's some time, i think, but it looks like a pretty impressive piece..

was just thinking about my pal Tommy and the day we removed his tired 402 from his 70SS and installed a crate LS7. ZOIKS!

I vote C427X, using one on my LS-7 knock off build.
