What do you guys think a 9.7 compression 427 with a 350 HP 396 cam 390 HP 427 cam 214/218/460/480 factory cast iron intake (427) and Q-Jet will make for power, and where it would peak, I know the cam is not well liked. Interested in all opinions.

it's funny that you're doing this right now. There was a guy on here last week inquiring about a engine builder to do a 427 for his car.. A few of us mentioned your name.

I'm curious about that cam.... does anyone know the duration at 0.006"? Also curious about the wide 115 LSA, as I would think a relatively low compression engine (9.7:1) would prefer tighter centers. Assume this is for a resto-type deal?

That cam will be all done by 5200rpm. With headers and no accessories dragging it down - 425hp @ 5200.
