I've been under a bunch of these trucks.
most of the engines mount only at the front of the block on either side of the harmonic balancer with a big horse shoe looking mount.
the rear of the engine is held in place with the bellhousing mounts to the frame.
the exhaust manifold usually cover one of the regular mounting bosses at the sides of the block.
the truck manifolds can't be used easily on a car...
your regular sbc/bbc motor mounts will bolt up right up to the bosses on the sides of a tall block just like the low deck engines.
are you sure it's a 427 tall block and not a 366???
most of the 427 engines will have a "7.0" cast on both sides the sides of the block near the freeze plug areas.
a 366 will have a "6.0" cast in the same area.
don't get a 366 for your car.......:noway:

As Bruce said, you really need to get the casting numbers off the back of the block, the heads and the pad that's in front of the passenger side cylinder head.

With some grinding, you can put a 454 stroke crank in it, overbore it by about .060 and get a 400 the hard way.
The one cool thing about a 366 is that you can drive the pistons out through the bottom of the block, they clear the mains!

That sucks. I would try to sell it to someone with a truck. Hate to say it but they are boat anchors. You got took. A 427 tall deck is pretty cool though. I used to build alot "back in the day" as stroker motors before they got popular.
