I have a steel 427ci crankshaft that i am going to put in a 396ci block i am going to use the same type of pistons used in a 396ci 375 hp motor , with stock rods and 3/8 arp rod bolts . Will the crank work are will the assy need to be balance? Someone said the throws on a 427 crank are different.i am going to have the block line bored if needed and use arp main bolts.any help would be grateful , thanks in advance !:)

yes, if you want it right at all it will need to be balanced. The pistons are not going to weigh the same.
