I just took this Turbo 400 out

these numbers are on the RH side on a small tag , What would this be out of and what year??

If my information is right, I want it. My info says a '68 Impala 427 or 396 police package.

I believe 494 is the date. 494th day starting January 1, 1967 and carrying over onto 1968, which would be the 129th day of 1968. With that in mind, I believe 5443 is the serial number.

I still want it.

Rick I just took it out today ,it works 100%
It hits hard in all shifts and lays rubber with about 425 HP in front of it.
I had a 28-3200 stall in with it and the package works great.
It needs a gasket and seal kit but thats it.

As I said before I am going back to M21
