I am shoppping for a rear drum to disc conversion kit. Since I already have front discs I will need to purchase a disc/disc proportioning valve. Do they come preset or do they need some adjusting? If they need adjusting, how do you do it?

The proportioning valve was necesary in the disc/drum set up to compensate for the delay of the rear drum brakes. Since there is no delay in the rear disc set up only a block is needed to seperate the front and rear systems and activate a warning light in the event of failure. An adjustable valve can be used to set front to rear bias if you find it necessary to tweak the braking of the car.
