Dan a 3999290 block was used in 1972 in passenger, Chevelle and Camaro cars. Its really a 402 CID engine with a 2 bolt main rated at 240 horse. Not really rare or worth much unless someone is restoring a 72 and wants the correct block number.

Sold a 396 to a Camaro guy last year for 2500,date correct for his car.Hes been trying to sell his non correct date engine for 2000 for about a year,no takers.A 396 was a mass production block and more often are only sold or bought for era correct restorations.454 is the motor of choice.
