I was looking into purchasing a 383 stroker Crate engine. Does anyone have first hand knowledge? Or can you point me in the right direction as far as make. I wanted around 450hp & 400 Torque... Any info would help thanks in advance.

he makes a vortec 355 for a decent price that will reach your goals.

Mark (Vortecpro) 355 makes about 440hp and 450tq.
I had a modified version in my 65 and it was sweet!!!

Not sure he is doing them anymore but it would be worth checking.


Mike (Wolfplace) is another one that may be able to do something for you.

As far as a lot of these other "internet companies" out there be careful.
I have been burned twice (for a lot of money), and I know Mark or Mike can be trusted to deliver what they promise.

Wow, 9k for a 500hp sbc seems pretty spendy to me.
Especially when there are plenty of other ways to go and have about half of that to go into drivetrain etc.
