just got a new 383 and need to buy a 14 flywheel ext balance any recomondations

Manual or automatic? Is the crankshaft balanced neutral like a 350, or is it external balanced like a 400?
Didn't the engine builder supply you with a balanced flywheel? It's not really a balanced engine any longer if the flywheel wasn't supplied. We balance lots of different combinations, and I guarantee that you can take 3 different flywheels (new/used/whatever) and end up with 3 different balances, so we always balance with the customer's flywheel or provide a new flywheel that is balanced with the engine assembly.
