355 On The Road

I finally got the 355 out on the highway and am in the process of getting the advance curve dialed in a little closer. Some pinging under load. With the previous engine, which turned out to be a .040" over 307, the Magna Flow mufflers had a very irritating drone between 1500 and 2000 rpm. With the new setup, the drone is much less to the point of not being a nuisance. Not a race car by any stretch, but with the 2.56-1 rearend, it should be a nice highway cruiser.

yes on the over drive :D

if I was rebuilding now I'd install one :thumbsup: instead of the th350 I installed years ago

but with a 2.56 rear I'm afraid I'd have to exceed the speed limit all the time .. Just so the converter wouldn't be slipping ;)

It sounds like you should get decent mileage if your easy on the peddle taking off :D
