I have been looking for the chrome air filter with dual air snorkal at some swapmeets. I thought I had a found one and it looked 99% the same. But the vendor told me that it was from another engine a 409????. He said the 327/375 only difference was there is a groove missing on one of the sides of the air snorkal. He wanted $210 is that a good price?
On that same day i found the original and I notice the difference but it was damged and it was missing the base. He wanted $300 is that a good price? Can anyone tell me where the other one came from. Are this hard to come buy or should wait?
thanks for the help

german,

I have alot of pics of 348's and 409's at my website and they may help you to identify it. http://silverstone.fortunecity.com/tvr/246/409_photo_page.html

Take a look and you will probably find the air cleaner you saw for sale.

If it is a 409 air cleaner, that would explain the price of $210.00. Anything 348 or 409 sells for a high price. Some of the harder to find units sell for $650-$1,000. (that would be the 2X4 409's and the Tri-power 348's)

Can't help on the 327 air cleaner.
