Getting ready to clean for paint. Frame is out for ten days for sandblasting and now have changed to thermal plastic. Got a good deal.

Cleaned up nice don't recall where if you even said where the car spent most of its life but I was also lucky enough for my 69 to clean up that good worse part was above the gas tank.
I thought mine was under coated but was just grime like the car traveled down a dirt road that was brined frequently.
Keep up the great work!

After cleaning, I noticed I have a solar system in my floor.. Just in front pass and drivers side. Going to order floor pans and fix it. Picture is af pass side. Drivers is not as bad. My trunk also needs repair. The old trunk lid had a antenna hole open so more fun for me. Car sat in Eastern Washington most my life.

Cleaning getting ready for por15. About two half days, first day simple green, pressure washing then started the scraping and wire brush ( multiple sizes and scotchbrite I will start the other side before simple green again, pressure wash, then get final approval for paint ( I like someone who sees better than me). Rear control arms are cleaned and ready for bushings. Which arrived no problems. Paint + finish springs. Hopefully start install soon. Curious if I should put gas line in first? Back to the research.

Looking awesome!!! The bag under the rear seems like a smart idea... i probably should do that before i flip mine for further cleaning.
What are you going to paint the rear with? POR 15 or something else? I've been considering brushing on OIL based rustoleum semigloss black, or maybe looking at a farm implement enamel after i finish stripping and cleaning mine.

I planned to por15 it since I had a gallon+ and cleaner and prep, but things change. Like my frame was going to be por15, then thermal plastic, finally ended up powder coat and I am very pleased. I’m going to see if my paint guy will spray as much as possible rather than brush. That will also include control arms and other items briny and back. Thanks and let me know how yours is going.

OK, after restoring my last rust bucket I have to say I hate you, I resent you and I want that rust free car, especially that unbelievable frame. She is gonna be a very nice ride. Best of luck. Did I say I hate you, ok maybe I don't hate you but just little bit jealous:)

Thanks, it’s been a lot of work so far just to this point, but not having a lot of rust makes things way better. The rust is minimal thank to where it’s sat most it’s life. Thanks again and please don’t hate to much, after seeming my other parts cleaned I’m jealous to

Just an update. These are parts cleaned, blasted, painted. Sway bar ready for blasting before paint. After much thought and helpful advice, decided to get a new gas line. Arrived and ready for install. Thanks again for all the advice ( even the ones I didn’t go with ).
