I'm trying to locate where an OD lockout cable should go through the firewall. I'm trying to make an OEM style system. I've had my OD locked in and have just used electics for operation, but I'd like to be able to lock it out without crawling under the car.

i just tried looking it up in one of my manuals. can't find it yet. it does go on the drivers side of steering column, about 1/2 way between column and park brake. tom

found it! in the 65 manual it goes just below column, there is the lower trim piece , 2 screws hold it in. the pass side screw hold one side of bracket and the other has it's own hole. hope that helps. tom

That'll give me something to look for tomarrow. I've all this time been thinking it was to be located between the ashtray and the columm, and logic would then have it go somewhere through near the throttle pedal braket.

I'm sure glad you're well equiped with service manuals.
