recently my mom and dad was ripped off at the dealer. mom had left the gas cap loose and caused a check engine alarm. they went to the dealer and was charged 175 bucks to reset the engine code. :O I know on some of the 90's cars you could disconnect the battery to clear engine codes but I just dont know about the newer cars. anyone know a safe way my dad can reset these codes if he needs to in the future. thanks
