Hi I haven't posted in a long time. I am having problems with our van. It charges and does not charge, I have replaced it once with a used alternator then with a rebuilt one from the part store. we can be driving down the road and it has a mind of it own. The alternator charges and not on its own no certain rpm and it also happens at idle. I hope there is some one here to help me I have checked connection and all are tight I haven't figured it out yet and I am going nuts over it. Thank you for your time and help ahead of time.:confused::confused:

Step one, grab another regulator connector from the parts store and splice it in. I have replaced roughly one a week at my shop for the last ten years an various GMs. But don't hate GM, Fords have a similar issue, and they burn to the ground because of it.

My `96 did that the whole 9 years I owned it. Yeah, it stresses the nerves but it never caused a problem.

Thank you all for the help the new connector did the work. I assume the wire breaks in the connector if it happens again I will replace just the connector I found a place in northern Wi. I will get it through them it is only about 4 bucks.

Again thank you for your help.
