When we started dating, my wife had an 84' Cav coupe, 2.2, 5 speed, aftermarket mags, LeBra, sunroof, and a kickin' Pioneer stereo. It was the coolest little car and eventually became our first family car.
Wash the engine off with tap water it will clean all the spilled anti-freeze off and leave it without any smell.If you let the antifreeze burn off by itself it takes forever and leads to bad smell complaints.Water dissipates fast and leaves only steam.
Also you can pick up a leak detection kit from any parts store. Drop fluorescent tabs in the coolant, wait a day or 2, then use a pocket black light to look for leaks.
