i know i am beating a dead horse here guys. i done several searches and couldnt come up with anything. does anyone here run the b f goodrich 285-70 15 tires on the rear of there 70? if so what size tire do you run on the front? the 2500 rpm s at 69 mph has me wanting to run this tire combo. pictures would be great also .thanks!

I'm running a 28" tire and the 2000 RPMs @ 64 MPH are great too.

My personal thought is the 285/70 would not look good on a '70. This is just my opinion. If you want cruising speed with a lower RPM, you might want to think about your final drive ratio.

That diameter tire is going to be a very snug fit. 2500rpm at almost 70mph doesn't sound too bad.

Yes they will fit had on my 69ss. May have to massage inner fender near trunk floor very small amount. Test drive, easily can spot if it rubs only on bumpy roads though. Used 7 inch rally whells. 275-60/15 ( 3.31 gear ) 285-70/15 (3.90 gear) Mileage @ slicks. Bob
