Can anyone of you fine folks, pass me the Part Number of the correct OEM Voltage Regulator for my '70 SS 454 Chevelle. The contacts on mine welded together. 16V was the startling Observation!!!
I'm assuming that GMPArts Direct will have this??

Got a hot tip and it worked well from Dave Ray. Problem is over and I now have regulated 14V. "A much better way to go with the old style alternators is to use a Wells
VR715 electronic regulator (available for under 10 bucks at places like
Auto-Zone). The Delco cap will fit the Wells reg, so it can pass as a stock
GM regulator if you so desire, and the electronic function really makes the
older charging systems wake up and work right."
I paid $12 at Auto Zone

Thanks Dave and all
