[Black LS-6]

I need to know the correct measurements for the '70 SS chrome tail pipes from the rear valance panel/bumper. I thought this topic had been covered before but a search did not turn up anything and I could not find the measurements in the assembly manual.

Yep it was discussed before, but I couldn't find it either, so somebody was nice enough to e-mail me the information. Here is what I was told:
"The tips should be mounted .88" below the valance panel and measure 2.44" from the bottom lip of the valance to the tips end, +/- .25". There are no printed measurements on center to center, only that the exhaust hanger will mount the pipe perpendicular to the frame on either side."

Jim is the 2.44" measured to the lower edge of the exhaust tip or the upper edge of the tip. As you know they are cut at an angle and thanks for the info

Black LS-6, my info says to measure from the top.

The way I understood it was bottom of the valance to top of the exhaust tip.
