I'm a little confused on the routing and use of the plug wire retainers for a 1970 396/402 BB.. I have the plastic retainers that mount on top of the valve covers and the two sheet metal that mount to bolt hole on the valve cover...but for the life of me, I can't figure how number 1 & 3 are supposed to go...I seem to be running into the AC bracket problem...any pics would help if some one has one.

All 1970 V-8- "A" bodys with factory A/C had brackets that were bolted to the valve covers,,, Note..SS cars with A/C , These little brackets were chrome with rubber Ign. wire guides, On NON SS cars the brackets were almost the same BUT they painted orange.
# 1&3 wires go under the compressor and used these wire guides. Your valve covers should have these wire guides....... If you car is a 70 --V-8--"A" body with FACTORY A/C.
These items are missed and or overlooked, By quite a few folks. Get the wire guides then ALL will be ..A-OK.
