 Perhaps the easiest thing to do is to remove your left mirror completely. Then take a sheet of paper and tape it to the left door. Then pencil in all the holes and door edges on the left door. Redraw the holes/edges in black ink. Flip the sheet over, line up the edges on your right door, and use a center punch to get the holes located. Drill your holes too small at first, and sneak up on the size hole you need for a tight fit.

If you happen to have the inner door off you could JB Weld a piece of metal inside against the door skin as a reinforcement...

I can get you pictures and measurements of mine this evening. Keep in mind the pass side mirror was a dealer installed option and as Bruce said, there is no "support" structure built into the door for it. It does work though. I bought the mirror set from Ground Up and they fit well and from the drivers seat you can actually see out of the mirror without it hitting the door glass.

Go to the web site www.morrisclassic.com for side view mirrors. I had originally purchased mirrors from OPGI, What a mistake. The passenger mirror flew off doing 50 mph and hit the rain gutter stainless trim at the rear passenger side. Morris Classic has well made side view mirrors that you can adjust and lock them to the desired position with two set screws. The passenger side is concave which provides better viewing and you can get them in tint or non tint. They are expensive but well worth the money. And they are exact factory reproduction.
