The numbers on the case should start with a 73, and should end with 0 for 1970. Its true the lettering on the radio face should be green and the radio should light up green when powered up. Also the pusbutton for the radio are over the 8 track door. Make sure that the door itself is in good shape because they tend to rust because they were never coated with anything.
Also ask how many pins are on the output of the radio, there should be 9 for the harness(try to get the harness). When I bought mine it did not come with a set of knobs. The front knobs are the same as any of the radio knobs for that year. The back knobs on the other hand are special to that radio, and they are the only one I know of that will fit in the bucket for the dash. I ended up finding NOS and I do have the part number if you need it (they were expensive to). It should be a big heavy radio to, about 10 lbs. beleive it or not.
