Not sure what you are speaking of? Where are the " Trap Doors "????????

If you pull the large piece of the floor stamping behind and below the rear window. ( On a 70 it is held in place with four special screws with attached washers.) With the front floor panel removed you can and will see how an El Camino starts life on the Assmb. line.
The El Camino floor pan is a Station Wagon! NOW with the front panel removed, LOOK down at the wagon floor pan you can see the welded seat hooks for the rear seat in a wagon. LOOK some more and you may see other wagon items.
When a 68 / 72 El Camino starts life,,, YEP you got it, It starts as a STATION WAGON.............GEE------- Mr. Dillion, I didnt know that...:surprise:
