Hello all not a big poster on here but I just got this truck and calipers, booster and master were removed prior and managed to get (I think the original) the original parts back and I have couple questions - First the booster is stamped 9354 and is dated 063 - are these the original parts? 03B is build date so I believe booster is correct I googled that number and found nothing
Tire Automotive tire Automotive design Grey Automotive exterior

and second - the calipers correct? I'm more of a Camaro guy but have previously owned a 69 Concours station wagon
these are different than the camaro's

the 309 master had already been replaced with a more rectangular style that had RMFR stamp on it but luckily I have the correct Chevelle master in my stash of parts
thanks guys

Not sure how this helps but the four digit number on my 69 SS ( chevelle not ElCamino) is 9391. I believe this to be the original booster. Different booster for ElCamino???

The El Camino used the same brake components as a 69 Chevelle with the power disc brake option.Basically the ElCo (68-72) is built on a Chevelle station wagon chassis and floor pan.If you remove the smugglers hatch you'll see the where rear seat area of a station wagon would be.
Does your power booster have the Kelsey Hayes logo upside down ? I remember something about that being a way to tell if its an OE booster. Also is your El camino an El Camino Custom ? you can tell what model EC it is by the first 5 digits of your VIN.

yep thats exactly what I figured about Elcam and Chevelle brakes so your saying to pull front of bed cover and I can mount some exterior seating - oh boy is this great! pretty sure booster is OE as its dated and it does have the Delco/Moraine upside down.
VIN starts with 13680

The 9354 is stamped in the larger font. At what point did they switch to the smaller font - in 69 or in 70? (If they had already switched when your car was built, then that would be a booster from an earlier car.)

HaHaHaHa that would look funny but no that doesn't mean you can put seats out there..... legally you can't.
13680 is an El Camino Custom and the EC model that's needed to get the SS option on 68-72 models.
Upside down Delco/Moraine is what the OE boosters had from the factory.

im sure thats true but wonder how Subaru did it when they made the Brat?
HaHaHaHa :D How'ed I know that someone would bring up the Brat ?
Even back then I don't think it was legal in every state because state laws aren't the same in all 50 states.I wonder if there were dealers in some states that couldn't sell the Brat back then ?

I understand that it could be dangerous to put seats in the rear/ cargo area of an open bed vehicle be that an ElCamino or a Subaru Brat or even a pick up truck. But it is no more dangerous than riding a motorcycle and that is legal in all 50 states. Many dont even require helmets??????
