Going to look at a 1969 el Camino here soon and it has a vinyl top. I don’t like the way it looks and I was wondering if it can be removed and if so how difficult the process was.

If you are able to remove the drip rail molding's that go over top of the door down to the quarter by the door handle I would be very interested to have first dibs at purchasing them from you .
I agree I like vinyl roofs especially 66/67 coupes and they look great on Ellies too. My 69 Camaro had one that I replaced. Not hard at all just take your time. And as others have said expect rust and unless yours is going to be stored outdoors or a daily driver I would put it back on.
