1969 Chevelle Air Vent Cables

I ordered 2 new driver side air vent cables (no A/C)for my 1969 Chevelle SS 396. When trying to install them I realized that the clip used to hold each in place was missing. The supplier informed me that they are not included with the cables, and not available through their company. Does anyone know where I can obtain 2 of them, or is there an alternative way to install them?

If its the same clips that my 68 cables had and I'm assuming they are you can get them
at Lowes however its unlikely you'll really
need them. I didn't put them back on and so
far they havent popped off.
