Hi I have a 1968 turbo hydra Matic 400 transmission that came with a car that I purchased I’m going to be selling the transmission and it would need to be rebuilt just wondering what it was worth thank you for any help help

I would pay 75 to 100 for cores 15 years ago.

I have picked up a few Chevy T400 short tails not that long ago for not much more that above. Price depends on locality and availability. What is inside is a gamble so I wouldn't pay more.

Also the value depends on where you're located too.Some parts of the country has way more older cars than other area's would have so then there's either more or less parts available to those people.

Around here they used to go for 100-200 bucks. Now I see them for around $400 if working

300 to 400 here in Pittsburgh. That's the best transmission ever made..

One of these days I'm going to get a veritable pitch stator system for the TH-400 in my car.

If it's the matching trans. I would keep it, otherwise, post the VIN on the side rail of the trans to try to match it up with the car it belongs to and good luck!
