Over the weekend I was looking for some farm equipment and went to the wrong address. This Man in his sixtys came out and we started talking, during the two hour conversation he mentioned he had a 68 SS Chevelle in the shed and asked if I wanted to see it. WELL YES ! He purchased it new in 68 ( ordered it ) its a 396 4 speed 100% untouched original, black vinyl top, turquise paint, black buckets interior, it has 45 thousand miles and is still on the original tires. it has not been registered since 1975. It has two dings and the package tray is a little weathered. Don't get excited because it will never be for sale, all he wants to do is clean it up and go for an occasional sunday drive. I think it pretty cool.:yes:
I'm not new to the site it's just been awhile since I did any posting. As for pictures this guy is a stranger and the car is locked up in his shed. When he had it out in the open he said he got tired of telling people it wasn't for sale. As for me I've had my 69 El Camino since 1977 nothing fancy 350 / 300hp, I have a 71 short box 4x4 4 speed original drive train, but did have to replace the cab. Cancer. and a few years ago I picked up a 69 SS Chevelle it's not a numbers matching car. I have a 454 in it matched up to the original 4 speed, it has the original posi with 3:55's. I attemped to send a picture of my toy but did not have any luck through photo bucket but I will try again ! I enjoy this site and visit it often. Theres still a few honest people out there, they are just had to find:thumbsup:
