Finally got to put the Kore3 front “big brake” kit that I purchased years ago. The C5 calipers look so small in those wheels. Maybe I should have gone C6.

And finally located an inboard “B” headlight bucket

Wow, no updates since March?? Damn…. I’ve pulled the return line and regulator out of the engine bay. Picked a place for the Holley regulator/filter. Under side of the trunk rise, above and to the rear of the differential. When the exhaust is in, It will be fun to service. Really have no other place for it. Mounting a. .25“ steel plate in the trunk that the clamp bolts will thread into. The return line will be a foot long.
The C5 rear brakes are on. Passenger side was a breeze. I had pad abutment bracket clearance issues on the driver side. I should be able to bleed them and leak check them next week.
I still have to replace the damaged heater core before I can start her up. I hate re-doing stuff that was previously done.

Finally, the ”upgraded” fuel system is in and connected. I’ll power up the fuel pump to see how well I made all my fitting connections…..

Getting rid of the regulator in the engine bay made a huge difference in uncluttering it. One less line, 3 less fittings, and the regulator. The added in line filter looks better too.

next up, I’m getting a positive junction block. I dislike all the wire coming off the terminal. Now I’m fighting the urge to order a Quick Time 9inch rear. Deep down inside I know the 12 bolt is the weak point of the drive line.

For now, she stays.

Oh, and I also put a .25 shim between the trans mount and trans. This enabled me to pull a few thin shims out from between the mount and cross member. I’m still at 3.5 ish down angle on my trans. I think that is going to be the best I’m going to get with a 4” driveshaft.

I probably missed it in the thread but what transmission are you running? What length do you need? Depending on length/ critical speed, you could probably get away with something less than 4”. Just a thought. I had to get really low on my trans mount when I put in the gear vendors but my driveshaft ended up being something like 40 inches (can’t remember exactly) so my 3” chromoly shaft is good to 10k ish RPM critical speed.

I’m running an LGD700. Purchased it from a forum member several years ago. Purchased the drive shaft too. It’s either a MW or a Denny’s. I purchased a shorter yoke for the rear so the shaft is a little short. I guess I need to do some calculating to figure out what diameter I need.

I swung by my brothers shop this morning to drop off my new chrome seat trim. The rear seat back is done, and it looks great, Legendary covers done in 66 Chevelle white but custom made 67 style, since white was not a factory interior color in 67.
Bought these covers a few years ago when wait times were much less.

Snapped this picture of the Pontiac Strato bucket to Chevelle spring modification kit from Ben Rambo.
Yes, the seat metal is in great shape as these seats wer in dry storage since the early 80’s. They are out of a 67 GTO.

I’m having head supports installed as well.

Well, she is ready to be run with the Terminator Stealth fuel system and dual sync distributor!
A member here is creating a tune based off my engine specs and dyno pulls. This has been a long time coming! Andrew is going to update the firmware on my ECU as well.

Pulled out the distributor, primed the engine with oil, coated the distributor gear with Molly lube. Reinstalled, phased the distributor, and put in the Lokar throttle cable. She is all set to go!

Glad there is no rusting on the shutter wheel of the distributor. Seems they fixed that on this version.

This time next week she will run, once again, fingers crossed.

My seats are nearly done. Rears are complete. Buckets are waiting for the side skirts and backs to be stripped and painted. The white with black accents with the Tahoe Turquoise is going to be stunning!

Hooray! Picked up my seats today! The upholstery shop at my brothers auto body shop had these for several month. Worth it? I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.
The cores were out of a 67 GTO that had been in dry storage since the early 80’s. The springs and frames were in awesome condition. Rambo made me a set of his BOP to Chevelle spring conversions and it made a huge difference.
The covers are Legendary made in 66 frost white but in 67 configuration. American Cushion seat buns. All new burlap batting and foam. Had his add head restraints as well. Door cards will be white, carpet, headliner, and dash will be black. I purchased Ring Brothers window cranks and door levers.

Thanks Pete! The guy that did most of my sheet metal replacement, John Truman, suggested white. I’m painting her Tahoe Turquoise and he said white seats would be killer. I think he was right, but no one would make white 67 covers, except Legendary. The black seat backs and skirts are a bit unorthodox , and were completely my idea. I think they will work since much of the interior will be black.
I plan to tie the white in on the exterior by having the SS body side stripes painted in white.
Now keeping the seats clean is going to be a chore……. Perhaps I didn’t think this through! :)

Not that it matters to you at this point, but PUI used to take custom orders....I know Tony, team member 1966_L78, ordered all white door panels for his '66 convertible, instead of the factory black & white panels. I seem to recall another member here custom ordering white '67 seat covers as well from PUI.

SMS in Oregon will also make them for you, but you can't be in a rush if you go that route, their lead time is right around 2 years. Plus they are not cheap....I paid $2500 for the '64 300 series seat covers & door panels that went in my wagon. They were worth every penny, however.

Huge day, today. She ran on the EFI Terminator! First time ever! Big shout out out to Dr. EFI, Chevelle Team member andrewb70 Battled through our laptop issues and he got her running like a top! Now to fix a few little issues and get her an exhaust and aligned!
Thanks Andrew!
I’ll see if I can post a video to You Tube and link it.
