Can anybody out there offer any help with the steps to replace the ignition lock switch.
Does the switch come out from under the dash. I looked up there from the bottom of the dash and can hardly see the switch,
If i take off the upper dash soft pad is the switch visible from there to be changed.
1967 malibu 327 at.

The switch comes out from the back but to do so the bezel needs to come off the front. Removing the upper pad won't get you access to the top of the switch, but to remove the upper pad you need to drop the dash to get to some of the fasteners. Dropping the dash will allow you to get to the switch.

You have to first remove the key and tumblers, insert the key and turn it counterclockwise til it stos and then, with a paperclip or other small object, depress the plunger in that little hole while continuing to turn the key counterclockwise and it should pop out easily afterwards, then you'll have to unscrew the bezel on the front and follow above directions for getting the switch! Good luck!!
