A man down here saw my Chevelle and told me about the L 79 he ordered new. He still has window sticker and all the other paper work the car came with. He would love to find it and either buy it back or get the paper work to the current owner. Where do I post the vin# or see if it still is alive?

I would pay a king's ransom for the full paperwork to any of my L79s, or my big blocks too for that mater. I'd post on Craigslist in the area of last known whereabouts, also find someone in law enforcement to run the VIN. Others here may be able to help you.

And make sure they don't get caught using government resources for personal reasons; I understand that's not legal but could be wrong.
