I see old threads where everyone said avoid repop bumpers. I see a lot of vendors selling repops now and saying they are nice. Have they improved? If so, who is a good source for the nicer ones?
I went down to a supplier to buy new front and rear bumpers for my 68.It took opening four boxes to find two good ones. They look okay for the price($295 for both).Don't know how they will hold up in the long run but the car never sits outside and isn't driven in wet weather so it will probably be okay.I have had replacement bumpers for my toyota peel off the chrome in one year but it was driven in the new england winter.
i ordered repops for my chevelle from OPGI and they look ok i guess. I bit grainy but they will do for the mean time. I guess I will end up sending my original bumpers off to see if they can be straightened and rechromed. Does anyone know of a good place to send bumpers off on the west coast? (last time I had something plated I sent it to Stockton Plating.)
