Any idea on a value of '66 el camino rear rocker trim? This
is NOS trim and in very nice condition but not much left to
the GM wrappers. I have never seen this before and would guess
it to be pretty rare stuff. Any help on establishing value is
appreciated.

I'm kind of half-heartedly looking for a good set of rear rockers.
Just about everything else on the car is done.

Let me guess, it's a drivers side, having only one, and finding the person who needs it. best bet ebay it, maybe you'll get lucky

I bought a NOS left rear trim for my 66 El Camino in January of 2006. I don't recall exactly what I paid for it, but it was less than $100. I think I got a bargain; I bid (eBay) on it during the Christmas holiday season and was the only bidder. I've gotten other deals bidding around Christmas time; seems money is short for some people, or they don't bother checking eBay.

This one is obviously NOS but did not have any of the black paint between the ribs. That might have been a factor for the low bidding.

I would be interested in buying a similar right side if available. I'll send an e-mail.

What I have is a pair, one left and one right side. The left side does not have paint between the ribs, but it has about half of the original paper wrapper. The right side
Is painted between the ribs. Both pieces are in excellent condition.

Having a pair makes all the difference, being for an el camino hurts abit, I'll still ebay, with a reserve, say around 450. See ya got a tudor wagon, so do I.

I did have a couple of those wagons, but 2 years ago I gave up
on the dream of getting one of them done and I sold them both. They
went to a good home and the new owner is kicking butt on finishing
the better car. It will be a stunner! I hope to have another one
someday. In fact, one of the cars came from out your direction.
The fellow had 5 or 6 two door wagons at the time but has since sold
them all.

Years ago (1984?), I was helping a small one-man body shop move to a new location... He had several carboard barrels filled with trim... In one of the barrels, was a pair of NOS '66 El Camino Rear Rocker trim pieces...

I looked at them and asked " '66 Chevelle?" and he said they were from a '66 El Camino... He said I could have them...

That night, I took them home, and tried to fit them on my '66 Chevelle "clone" (years before the rear SS rocker trim was repro'd)... I didn't know the look was completely different, so I trimmed them to length with a hack saw (the cut portion was tucked behind the bumper)... :D

Ah youth... what an idiot I was... ;)

Of course, I sold the car, and the buyer didn't notice...
