Hi, I own a 1966 Chevelle Convertible and I'm installing the top. I'm from Argentina so I don't have another Chevelle 66 Convertible to look at and I'm not sure how the windows fit in the roof rail weatherstrip. I did some research on the internet but I could'n find a picture showing how the windows fit in the roof rail weatherstip.

Could anybody in the blog send me a picture of your car, which needs to be a 66 convertible, with the window and the roof rail weatherstrip? I'll really appreciate it.

Thanks Don for your help and the info. Unfortunatly it doesn't help me to understand how the windows fits in the roof rail weatherstrip, I mean if the windows enters inside the weathertrip channel or if it rest on the outside face of the weatherstrip. Thanks again, maybe I wasn't clear enought in my first post.

Happy to help. Let me know if you need any more pics.
Just another question about the top. When you drive over 130-140 km/h (80-90 mph) does the top tends to open in the header bow?
I'm trying to figure out if this is normal above that speed or is an issue that I could solve doing adjustments to the top frame.
Thanks again!

Lol, I wish I could answer your question but I haven't had my car out in 35 years. I put it in storage in 83 when my daughter was born and haven't had it out since. I managed to get it started last year and this year I'm working on patching the holes in the floor, replacing all the brake components, and new gas tank and lines. If all goes well I'll be rollin' again next year.

I don't think there should be an opening at that speed but I'm sure there are other guys here that can advise you on fine tuning the top.

How is your header bow seal To the windshield top frame ? And check your lock down pin adjustments
Hi Don, all the weatherstrip is brand new. I checked the top lock down pins and tightened as much as possible ... As the car has an LS3 engine, I thought that maybe the car was not thinked to run at high speeds with the top closed, therefore I wrote in this blog to understand if it happens to other 66 convertible owners ...
