1965 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 327 Powerglide. This car has most of its Ca. registrations since it was new.(I think that there are 2 or 3 missing) It has its original owner's manual and Protecto plate and Original window sticker. I bought this car from its original owner and fully intended on getting it roadworthy. I have too many other projects and I am selling this car. It is titled in my name California title and the Black plates go with the car. Please see the pictures.
The car is a dry Northern California car since new and has been repainted its original color, Evening Orchid in the late 80s or 90s. It has not been on the road since the 90s.
Highly Optioned Chevelle
SuperSport 327, Bumper guards, Black trim, tinted windshield, seat belts and retractors, padded dash, radio, rear antenna, rear seat speaker, power brakes, Power steering, Vinyl top, 12 bolt posi rear end, special paint evening Orchid, door edge guards, and more.
It has its original engine and it has been rebuilt but needs to have the engine finished and assembled. The short block is assembled, the heads have been rebuilt and are ready to install etc. All of its original parts are with the car.
The body is rust-free and very clean.
The only rust I can see is in the bottom of the trunk floor and it is very minor. See pictures I have placed a business card by the hole for size comparison.
The original engine is out of the car: I planned to finish the engine assembly and install it. Rebuild the radiator, rebuild the brakes, clean the fuel system, buy a set of new tires, new shocks, remove the trailer hitch, remove the extra gas relays and pumps located under the hood (the original owner back in the early 70s had an extra tank installed in the trunk so that he could get through the gas crisis) clean the car up a bit (the car does not need paintwork), and then drive it. The original vinyl seat covers are under the black seat covers seen in the pictures and I was going to recover the seats only in the original vinyl. The vinyl roof is in excellent condition. The color is a rare and desirable color. I had budgeted $4,000.00 to do all of this work. I do most of my own labor work. I think the car can be road-ready for this budget.
There are extra parts that are included with this car.
Extra 300 hp 1965 engine, extra Powerglide trans, extra door panels, radio, engine parts, stainless trim and more.

A car very similar to this car sold on Bring a Trailer 10/18/21 for $38,500.00 and it was also highly optioned and painted evening orchid and it too sold new in the bay area. See this link: 1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS Sport Coupe
