Someone hacked the original harness in my newly aquired 65 SS. I have three questions:

1) what color wire 'sends' power to the ignition switch?

2) what color wire sends power from the ignition switch to the starter?

3) Are there any relays, or anything that can disrupt power in these wires?

Red. Comes from the fuse block.

2) what color wire sends power from the ignition switch to the starter?

Purple or a principally purple wire with a stripe on it. Goes from the ignition switch to the neutral safety start switch on the column ( I assume automatic). From the other side of the N/S switch the purple heads out through the bulkhead connector and down to the S terminal on the starter.

3) Are there any relays, or anything that can disrupt power in these wires?

No, where are you losing it?

It's a floor shift automatic. But that's enough to get me going on that problem. Don't you just hate it when someone hacks up a factory wiring harness?
